1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how ABC — Alumni Benefit Community ("ABC", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Platform at [abc-community.org].
It supplements our Privacy Policy and forms part of the agreement set out in our Terms of Service.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and software development kits.
In this Policy we use the word "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies.

- Track you across other websites for advertising.
- Build a profile for sale or sharing with advertisers.
- Serve personalised advertisements on the Platform or elsewhere.

5. Your Cookie Choices
5.1 Cookie banner
The first time you visit the Platform (and at intervals afterwards), a cookie banner asks you to:
- Accept All non-strictly-necessary cookies, or
- Reject All non-strictly-necessary cookies, or
- Manage Preferences to choose by category.
"Accept All" and "Reject All" are presented with equal prominence — same size, same colour, same location. There are no pre-ticked boxes. There is no cookie wall.
5.2 Withdrawing or changing your consent
You can change your cookie choices at any time:
- Click "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page.
- Update your choices in the modal that opens.
- Your new choices take effect immediately.
5.3 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honour Global Privacy Control browser signals as a request to opt out of non-strictly-necessary cookies and as a "Do Not Sell or Share" signal under California law.
5.4 Re-consent
Where required by applicable law, we will ask you to renew your cookie consent at intervals (typically every 12 months).
5.5 Browser settings
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via the browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Platform from working. Helpful guides:

- Active opt-in for non-strictly-necessary cookies.
- Equal-prominence "Reject All" option.
- Honouring Global Privacy Control where applicable.
- A persistent and easy way to withdraw consent.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will publish the updated version with the effective date. Material changes (new cookie categories, new third-party trackers, weakened consent flow) will be notified by email and an in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect, and we will re-ask for your cookie consent.
